Located right by the river, this charming hotel offers a warm welcome from the friendly owners, ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooms are well-appointed, with comfortable beds and a kitchenette for added convenience. The breakfast is satisfying, and the option to have dinner, such as the delicious Moroccan tagine, is a bonus. Additionally, the hosts go above and beyond, offering tea, coffee, and beer upon arrival. The unique Marilyn Monroe-themed room adds a quirky touch to the experience.
A minor downside is that the shower wall bracket may require repair or replacement, but overall, it does not detract from the pleasant stay.

This place had everything - a shared lounge for me to pretend I have friends, a terrace where I can sip my wine and judge people, a restaurant and bar for all my fancy needs. And they even let me bring my precious little Fifi!
Just when I thought life couldn't get any better, they had to go and spoil it by offering free WiFi. Who needs the internet when you can simply soak up the glorious ambiance?

Our stay at Marie-Claire La Grillade was absolutely wonderful! The owners welcomed us with open arms, even though we arrived soaked from a day of biking in the rain. They immediately offered us hot tea, coffee, and beer to warm us up. The room was cozy and decorated with a quirky charm that we loved. The breakfast was simply amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. We especially enjoyed the fresh, warm bread and the perfectly cooked eggs. The location was convenient and easy to find, although there was some noise from passing vehicles. Despite the slight language barrier, the hosts were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We even received a beautiful plate as a parting gift. The price for our stay and dinner was very reasonable, making our experience even better. we highly recommend Marie-Claire La Grillade for a unique and enjoyable stay in Briare.

Personally, I found the tile/marble floor in the twin/double room a bit cold.

We had a fantastic stay at La Grillade in Briare. the room, Chambre 3, was spacious and well-designed with separate sleeping and sitting areas. We loved being able to open the windows for a refreshing cross-breeze in the hot summer temperatures. the owners, especially Madame, were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. They provided an electric fan and bottled water, which was much appreciated. Madame was also very helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area. We had a delicious Moroccan tagine dinner at their restaurant, and the breakfast was outstanding, including eggs and great coffee. the total cost for the room and dinner was very reasonable, and we even received a lovely gift plate as a parting gesture. We will cherish the memories of our time with our sweet hosts at La Grillade. Cons: Nothing to be said. 😊.
